Summer Service Camps

 

The Summer Camp enrollment is limited to 50 participants 16-35yo students from schools and colleges outside of Vietnam, and consists of 2-weeks stay at a chosen rural area. Alongside with Vietnam students from the local province, the group will work at health clinics on needy rural sites, undertake rehabilitation/construction projects and visit childre n with special needs at orphanages & centers for handicapped children. Cost is expected about $1000 for camp fee in addition to airfare.


Family members who are non-students may be accepted as participants for support work, at the discretion of camp management. This applies especially to healthcare personnel who can actively contribute to the medical work.
Students have the opportunity to participate into a summer project before or after the camp, at one of the program sites of Project Vietnam. They will be responsible for their own living cost as per independent volunteer trips.

SUMMER SERVICE CAMP PROGRAM JULY 1-15, 2010  

75 volunteers participated in 2010, and worked at rural clinics and centers for Special Needs Children (street children in Hue, Handicapped centers and Orphanages in Hue, Da Nang and Hoi An).

Camp fee of $1,000US includes domestic airfare, transportation, accommodations & meals.
You will need to purchase airfare either through our travel agency ez-travel@sbcglobal.net (Christine 714-539-8580) or on your own.
Volunteers are asked to assist with various camp activities, and fundraise to serve the needy children communities we will visit. Students who volunteer to be involved, will receive preference selection. Camp sponsors will receive tax-deductible statements for their contributions.
